Today I went to drop my suit in the dry cleaners. When I entered there was a lady altering some clothes beside the reception desk. She ignored me (Problem 1!) I presumed she was busy and waited, Eventually I noticed a sign saying ring bell for service. It felt very strange ringing a bell when there was a staff member beside me but I did it. As it turned out the counter staff were very polite. BUT there is a lesson here. All staff should be customer service trained, whether their hired to be customer facing or not. Customer service should go right through the organisation.
